On September 17th, Dr. Wafik Moustafa, Chairman of the British Arab Network, attended the Democratic Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Conference and dinner in Washington, D.C, which was addressed by President Barack Obama and Secretary Hilary Clinton. Dr. Moustafa met with leaders of the Caucus including, Congressman G.K. Butterfield, Congressman John Lewis, Congresswoman Karen Bass, Mr. Don Peebles, Chairman CBCF’s Board of Directors, the Reverend Jesse Jackson and former Congresswoman Diane E. Watson.
Commenting on the event, Dr. Moustafa said:
“I was delighted and honoured to attend the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Conference dinner and to meet its distinguished leadership, and to hear wonderful speeches from President Obama and Secretary Clinton. I had excellent discussions on civil rights, foreign policy, the Middle East and the special relationship between our countries.
