New York: British Arab Network Chairman speaks at UN Headquarters on Culture of Peace

At the UN headquarters in New York on 14th September, Dr. Wafik Moustafa, Chairman of the British Arab Network, spoke about the need to use soft power to bring world peace, at a high level conference entitled “Inauguration of the Parliamentary Multi Track Initiative Council for the SDG’s and the Culture of Peace”, which was organised by the Inter-Parliamentary Coalition for Global Ethics. The conference was chaired by Mr. Emil Constantinescu, former president of Romania

Commenting on the event, Dr. Moustafa said:

“I was delighted and honoured to speak at this conference at the United Nations, which had so many distinguished, politicians, diplomats and civil society coming together to build peace and inclusive societies. It is more important than ever to use soft power to build peace. I look forward to working with all the parties to promote a culture of peace, intercultural and inter-religious dialogue, understanding and cooperation for world peace.”
